Billing
Fawna bills in credits. Plans deliver a monthly credit allocation at a discount to pay-as-you-go. Top-up credits do not expire and can be used across every tool. This page covers the plan structure, top-ups, refunds, and invoicing.
Credits are the unit
One credit is the smallest billable unit. Video generations are priced per second, image generations are priced per image, audio generations are priced per 1,000 characters. Every tool shows the estimated credit cost before you confirm a generation.
1 credit ≈ $0.005. A 6-second Film Lite video at 1080p without native audio costs roughly 120 credits, or about $0.60.
Plans
See the Pricing page for current plans. Every paid plan includes the same Fawna tools and models; plan differences are monthly credit volume.
- Starter: monthly credits for focused creative projects.
- Creator: larger monthly allocation for regular work.
- Studio: high-volume monthly allocation for production batches.
Plans are billed monthly. Each plan includes a fixed credit allocation each month, which does not roll over from one month to the next if unused.
Top-up credits
On top of your plan allocation, you can buy additional credits that do not expire. Top-ups roll forward forever. Useful when you burn through a month's allocation on a big project and want to keep going without upgrading your plan.
Top-ups are available from the Pricing and Account pages. The standard pack is 1,000 credits.
How credits are consumed
Each generation is charged against:
- Your plan allocation first (use it or lose it at month end).
- Your top-up balance second (never expires).
This order ensures you get maximum value from your plan before touching the rolling top-up balance.
Refunds and failed generations
Fawna does not charge for failed generations. If a job fails due to infrastructure error, provider outage, or a content-filter trip we determine to be overeager, credits are refunded automatically within a few minutes. No action needed on your side.
Successful generations where the result is simply not what you wanted are not refundable. Use Rerun or Branch to iterate, at standard credit cost.
Cancelling a plan
Cancel any time from the Account page. You keep access to your current plan through the end of the paid period. After that, plan credits stop refilling. Existing top-up credits remain usable indefinitely.
Invoices and receipts
Invoices are emailed on every successful charge. PDF invoices are also available at any time from the Account page under Billing history. Export them for expense reporting or accounting.
Team seats
Team seats are not included in the current self-serve plans. If you need shared billing or multiple collaborators under one account, contact support so we can help with the right setup.
Tax
Tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing address. VAT, GST, and local sales tax are handled automatically where Fawna is registered. For enterprise contracts with different tax handling, contact billing via the billing@fawna.ai address.
